A polycarbonate awning is a stationary awning product with brackets that is permanently attached to your home, business or other structure. It provides protection from rain, snow, and hail. These products can also provide protection from the sun and UV rays. Typically, a polycarbonate awning is smaller in projected size and may be available in a variety of widths and, depending on the style, can be connected to allow for customers to customize width coverage, if needed.

VERY POOR DIMENSIONAL INFORMATION – Very poor dimensional information. Dimension of 5.5″ height is not defined or shown. It is most likely the hight of the mounting bracket. I need to know if my door will hit the awning when fully open. what is needed is the dimension from the top of the bracket to the projected bottom of the awning 59″ away from the mounting surface. It has to be more than 5.5″ but is it?

I called in advance to ask about shipping as I needed it ASAP (my custom door was already showing signs of the weather.) before committing I contacted Advaning to ask about shipping and was really impressed with the customer service. They answered my shipping question (and accurately too as shipping was quick!) and they also assured me that this would work for the space I needed it for. I looked at the other styles available, but went with the metal option as it felt a little more modern, perfect for my house! The design and quality of the materials are really exceptional, when they said “clear” in the description they meant it as you can see right through it as though looking through glass. The installers made it look simple to install and even commented that it was one of the nicest door awnings they had seen. I just wish I had more doors to buy awnings for, maybe my windows need them too? 🙂
